Getting Started with FrensPool

This guide will help you get started with FrensPool, from setting up your wallet to creating your first prediction pool.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

1. A web3 wallet (like MetaMask)

2. Some MON tokens on the Monad Testnet for transactions

3. A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, etc.)

Setting Up Your Wallet

1. Install MetaMask

If you don't already have MetaMask installed:

1. Go to metamask.io

2. Click "Download" and follow the installation instructions

3. Create a new wallet or import an existing one

2. Add Monad Testnet to MetaMask

FrensPool runs on the Monad Testnet. To add this network to MetaMask:

1. Open MetaMask and click on the network dropdown at the top

2. Click "Add Network"

3. Click "Add a network manually"

4. Enter the following details:

   • Network Name: Monad Testnet

   • RPC URL: https://testnet-rpc.monad.xyz/

   • Chain ID: 10143

   • Currency Symbol: MON

   • Block Explorer URL: https://testnet.monadexplorer.com/

5. Click "Save"

3. Get Testnet MON

To get testnet MON:

1. Visit the Monad Testnet Faucet
2. Connect your wallet

3. Request testnet MON

4. Wait for the tokens to appear in your wallet

Accessing FrensPool

1. Visit frenspool.xyz
2. Click "Connect Wallet" in the top right corner

3. Select your wallet provider (MetaMask)

4. Approve the connection request

Navigating the Platform

Once connected, you'll have access to the following main sections:

• Home: Overview of the platform and recent pools

• Browse: Explore all available prediction pools

• Create: Create your own prediction pool

• My Pools: View pools you've created or participated in

Creating Your First Pool

To create your first prediction pool:

1. Click "Create" in the navigation menu

2. Fill out the pool details:

   • Question: What you're predicting

   • Buy-in Amount: How much each participant must pay

   • Deadline: When voting will close

   • Oracle Type: How the outcome will be determined

3. Click "Create Pool"

4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet

5. Share the pool link with friends to invite them

Joining a Pool

To join an existing pool:

1. Browse available pools or use a direct link

2. Click on a pool to view details

3. Choose to vote "YES" or "NO"

4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet

5. Your vote will be recorded and you'll be added as a participant

Checking Results

After a pool's deadline has passed:

1. Visit the pool page

2. The status will change to "Closed" or "Resolved"

3. If you voted on the winning side, you can claim your winnings

4. Click "Claim Winnings" and confirm the transaction
